Hi everyone,

What a busy start we have had to the year, I can't believe January, February and March are already behind us and we roaring into April. We're finding that the general business climate is looking a lot more positive with clients going ahead with a number of projects. I hope you are all experiencing similar activity. Since our last newsletter, we have worked on a number of interesting projects including corporate branding, annual reports and websites. Introducing our newest tangelo

In late January, Yvonne O'Dwyer joined the tangelo team as a senior designer. Yvonne has just relocated to Western Australia from Dublin, Ireland where she worked in some very busy design studios. Y'vonne's proficient in both print and web based design and will be a great asset to our studio's capabilities. Yvonne's hit the ground running and has quickly become a valuable member of our design team. 

Brightstar - Bright future

Tangelo recently developed the branding for mining junior Brightstar Resources. Brightstar are exploring some exciting gold prospects in Tanzania, East Africa. Tangelo has developed the brandmark, corporate identity, website (under construction) and electronic media. The overall effect is a strong clean brand that can be built upon as the company grows. We wish them every success.

Strategic Marine on show at AOG 2011

At this years AOG (Australasian Oil & Gas) conference they were describing Perth as the "Houston of the Asia Pacific rim". The 2011 conference was the biggest since its inception, with many national and international companies represented. Tangelo designed and produced Strategic Marine's tradeshow display. Our brief was to lift the standard for Strategic Marine and produce a portable display that can be reused for future trade shows within Australia. The overall result was impressive and received favorable comments from conference delegates.

In Response

Another branding project recently completed by Tangelo was for Response Marine. Response Marine operates a fleet of support vessels working in the offshore oil & gas industry in ROV operations, hydrographic survey and seismic work. Our brief was to develop a modern brand that would work well in all of the usual applications such as website and marketing collateral as well as a number of applications unique to the marine industry, including house flags and funnel/stack emblems. The overall result is a unique brand that strongly identifies Response Marine as a professional and modern player in the industry.      

The Rebecca Oates Experience

Tangelo designed and built a new website for Rebecca Oates Fine Hairdressing. Rebecca's salons in Cottesloe and East Fremantle are all about the Rebecca Oates experience and the new website is an extension of this brand. Bart worked with Rebecca to develop the right look and feel for the site and with the addition of great photography supplied by Rebecca we achieved a great result.

Sadleirs Nexus join forces

Sadleirs Transport joined forces with Nexus Freightliners to become Sadleirs Nexus Logisitics. Tangelo's brief was to unite the two company brands to form one brand while incorporating the heritage aspects of both. Melding the competing heritage of two entities is always a challenge. We retained the Nexus "hand shake" symbol by reworking its line weight to create a better balance between the symbol and the lettering. Other elements incorporated were the Sadleirs colours Green & Yellow and Nexus's colours of grey and red. The final outcome achieved the balance Sadleirs and Nexus were looking for.
